This hostal starting to get to me as some ignorant asswipe above my room listens to loud music till 2am, well the only good thing about the place is the price and interesting people that I meet here. In the morning I took my Nikon and went to walk around the town, the tight streets are full of interesting buildings, restaurants and museums. There wasn’t many people around as everyone were in the down town for the holiday walk, so the area was nice peaceful and sure enough before I knew I walked into some shady neighborhood where I got approached by two police man. I guess I could be in danger of getting robbed here so they politely walked me back into the tourist area where I could be safe lol, o well I guess they know better. After some decent breakfast I went back to Hostal to do some updates but Felipe and Laura showed up so we went for a ride to visit near by salt mine, that was a time well spend filled with nice walk into the mine it self and ended with super nice dinner at local Japanese restaurant.

Bogota day 2
I hired a taxi in the morning so I can follow it to Perdo’s place, and shortly after we were going to meet up with his son Esteban and daughter. Once the group got together we left for a full day ride to “forgot the name of the town“ through very nice twisty roads that were fill with heavy traffic. Riding in Colombia is totally different from what I’m use to and at times I had a hard time keeping up with those guys as the constant passing, it’s a normal thing around here. This was a holiday weekend so the town was full of tourists but still it was a very nice place to visit and after a walk around and great lunch it was time to hit the road back home. This time we got caught in heavy rain with thunders hitting near by so again I was far behind the guys but they were ok with it I guess. I found my way back to hostal as I’m starting to understand to concept of road set-up in Bogota, Thanks to Pedro :).
Bogota day 1
I left the hotel in the morning to get to the dealer with small hopes that they just might work on my bike this day, well I got to the place just fine with one exception – it was the wrong one! lol. One thing about Colombia is that you will find many very friendly people that are willing to help anyway they can, and sure enough one guy was picking up his car and than he was going to the other place so I just followed him there. It was Saturday so the dealer was closing early but at least they made an appointment for Tuesday first thing in the morning and spend some decent amount of time to search for cheap Hostal for me to stay. As we were going through all the phone calls I notice two guys hugging my bike, they were Alex and Felipe and both had 1150gsa so sure enough now I had a great company that showed me the way across the city to the Fatima Hostal where I’m staying till Wednesday. The day ended having an awesome dinner and coffee with Pedro and his wife, short walk after and I was back at the Hostel.
